My trip to Tampa

Well, I ended up flying out to Tampa on the midnight flight on Wednesday. I had a layover in Minneapolis at 5am. Well, I had been exhausted because the first flight was so quick. I had my pillow pet in hand, my pink blanky (Yes, I called it a blanky), sunglasses. I found 5 seats that were connected with no separation arm rests. So, I had proceeded to curl up on my pillow pet and blanky and sleep at the gate until my flight. I couldn’t imagine sleeping on the floor in an airport without a giant plastic tarp (I’m a germaphobe) so, I was the rude person that took up 4 seats. But I didn’t care, it was 5am and there was no one there. Well, I guess I had really slept hard, because I didn’t hear anything. When I woke up at 8:45am, the airport around me was full, and everyone was staring at me. It worried me a little because sometimes I have a tendency to talk in my sleep and have full on conversations. It was weird to wake up that way especially in such a public place, but I was so exhausted I couldn’t help it.

I finally landed in Tampa and was so excited after I got checked into my hotel. I got freshened up and went to dinner at the Penthouse Club. Whenever I go to their club, they have a 5 star steakhouse, so I end up eating every meal at the club. Had a few glasses of wine with dinner and went back to the hotel for bed.

On Friday, we went out to lunch with our friends at Seasons 52. I love how fresh their food is, but I was sad that the soup selection wasn’t more. Headed back to the hotel to get ready for my radio interview with Spice Boy. It was a great radio interview. I’m usually really good about my language because I know it’s radio. But I guess I just zoned out at first cause I’m so used to it and I accidentally said, “Shit” within the first 5 minutes. They had to buzz me. Whoops! Well, at least throughout the rest of the interview I was a good girl as far as my language.

I headed to the club the do my stage shows for the night. We had given away a Penthouse Club Black Members Card and a free bottle of Diosa tequila over the radio. The winner had gotten a little VIP area. I had met tons of awesome fans that night during my 2 shows at Penthouse on Friday. And I got to meet a fan who was being deployed the next day. He gave me his little velcro badge that he wears and I wore it all night on my dress to show my support for him. I also got to hang out with the Janessa Brasil that was there to promote Diosa Tequila. I had never gotten to hang out with her before, I have only internet stalked her because she’s hot. After, the club they took so I could get subway. The poor guy probably thought I was a hot mess in there.

I was so happy when I woke up on Saturday, with NO hangover. It was craziness. During the day I mostly slept and then went to go see the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter movie. I thought it was okay. The only thing that bothered me is that they applied the 3D afterwards so all I kept seeing and concentrating on was the giant floating dust coming at me. I know it’s a time period piece so it was suppose to be dusty but it was in the foreground instead of the background. I’ve always done all these reports on Abraham Lincoln when I was in school, so it was really cool to see a movie portray him in a such a different light. It was an okay movie. Then I had to start getting ready to go to the club, eat dinner there (as usual) and get on stage for one show at the Penthouse Club and one show at the Pink Pony in Tampa.

I had such a great crowd for all of my shows at the Penthouse Club and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the staff there. I’ve been there 3 times and it never gets old. Maria is my girl! I love her!!! I was sad to leave because I knew I was going to miss her. The Pink Pony is like an extension of the Penthouse Club. Since the Penthouse Club closes earlier, all the customers and sometimes even the staff head on over to the Pink Pony, which is an after-hours strip club. I was glad to see most of my customers from the Penthouse Club had followed me over to the Pink Pony to watch my final show. The previous time I was at the Pink Pony performing my last show, in between my show at the Penthouse Club and Pink Pony I somehow got dust or dirt in my eye and my eye had swollen shut. I knew the show still had to go on, so I put my hair draped over that eye and danced my ass off on stage basically with one eye. Luckily, no one noticed and I got through it without falling on my face. So, this time I was so happy to not have that happen, but just like myself I did hurt myself again. During my first show on Saturday at the Penthouse Club, I was in a doggy position up on the railing, as I was climbing down like I always do, nothing strenuous or difficult I somehow popped my shoulder out of place. My arm and shoulder looked like a scene out of the Exorcism of Emily Rose or that new one, “The Devil Insdie” when the girl is contorted. I went to go move my arm and I couldn’t, plus I was only on my 2nd song of my show. Luckily, I had an adrenaline rush happening anyways and my endorphins were kicking in so I laid down with my face down, ass up so that people would be distracted and was able to pop my shoulder back into place. It’s still sore and hurts even today. I’ve never had anything like that happen to me, I’ve never even had a broken bone. So, it scared me silly. The tendon is really fragile and hurts a lot right now, so I’m just hoping it gets better before I go to Exxxotica Chicago in July. But, I’m sure by then it will be fine. So, that concludes my long ass story about Tampa. I don’t write long blogs that often, I normally just do a picture dump with silly captions. So, I thought I’d spice it up this time. I hope you enjoyed all the craziness of my weekend and reading about it as much as I did experiencing it.
